I built a content pipeline that turns a messy Google Sheet into research-first outlines at scale, with exact counts, real names, links, pricing, quotes, and short FAQs—no fluff and no double charges for the same outline. It reads Category (A), Subcategory (B), Title (G), and Done (K), enforces numbers in titles (like 10 tools = 10 tools), saves JSON outlines to neat folders, and batch-updates K as “done” to keep the sheet in sync without reprocessing. For cleanup, a second automation removes WordPress duplicate URLs (-2/-3), keeps the canonical URL, and marks fixed cells green with white text for fast visual checks. The stack uses OpenAI (GPT‑4o for high-detail lists, GPT‑4o‑mini for trends/insights), prompt caching, and large batches, so costs stay low and speed stays high
The flow fetches A/B/G/K in batches, detects the post type and number target, then generates a JSON outline with sections, links, prices, quotes, and 2‑line FAQs, finally saving to Category/Subcategory folders. File existence is truth: if a file exists but K isn’t “done,” I only update K, no extra API calls, no duplicate spend. Batch updates keep Sheets writes minimal, so the pipeline is both fast and predictable.
If a title says 10 or 15, the system extracts that number and enforces the exact list length with real names, websites, and quick context—no “maybe later” placeholders. Generic blocks (like “AI improves X”) are dropped unless backed by names, pricing, or a clear source. FAQs are capped to two lines with actionable tips, not definitions.
Prompt caching, ultra-compressed templates, and bigger batches cut token usage and API calls without cutting quality. GPT‑4o‑mini handles most posts; GPT‑4o is used when a post needs deeper names, quotes, or strict research, keeping overall cost low.

Reads A/B/G/K, classifies, extracts counts, picks model, generates JSON, saves to folders, and batch-updates K = “done”. Skips any item that already has a file to avoid reprocessing and double spend
Enforces names, links, pricing, quotes, and real examples; forbids generic statements unless they add new value. FAQs stay tight (two lines), and the intro can be a single line if that’s enough.
Prompt caching, batching, and token-lite templates reduce cost while maintaining the depth that matters (names, links, prices). Google Sheets batch updates keep the system snappy at scale.
Runs with smart rate limits and clear error handling; it’s designed not to trip API limits while still moving fast. All changes are tracked for accountability.

Tools should help ship work, not write fluff. If there’s no name, link, price, or quote, it’s probably not worth tokens—skip it or trim it.
