Fitness & Health

For me, Usman Jatoi, “Fitness and Health” are very important parts of my life, even as I spend a lot of time in the digital world. They help me feel good, have energy, and keep my mind clear for all my projects. I am learning to put more focus on these areas.

I was born on April 18, 2006, in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. When I was two years old, my family moved back to Khanpur District, Pakistan. This is where I grew up. My journey into the digital world started very early, when I was seven years old, and I began working professionally at twelve. For a long time, my main focus was on learning new digital skills and building things. This often meant long hours sitting in front of a computer, and less time for personal care.

How My Early Digital Life Touched My Fitness and Health

When I was young, I was eager to learn about coding, making games, and building apps. These were exciting things, but they often meant sitting for long hours in front of a screen. Later, when I found graphic design, and then 3D modeling and video editing, it was the same story. My passion kept me focused on screens, trying to get better each day.

In 2020, I spent a whole year learning 3D modeling. During this time, and when I worked as an artist on Fiverr, I was always busy with projects. My early YouTube channels, like UJTutorial and Usman Art, also meant more time sitting and working. In 2021, when I started video editing and even made a documentary with my brother, it was a lot of detailed computer work that kept me still for long periods.

By 2022, I was making many ads for local businesses in my city. My skills were growing fast, but my personal habits around fitness and health didn’t always keep up. It was a period where my output was high, and sometimes, my body would feel tired. I remember my body would get tired, and my eyes would feel heavy from looking at the screen too much.

The Demands of Growing a Business and My Personal Health

As I moved to create my own agency, Redsglow, the demands on my time increased even more. Building the website, first with coding, then rebuilding it in WordPress, took months of dedicated effort. Setting up Redsglow on all social media platforms was another big task that needed many hours of sitting and working. All this meant long hours and a strong focus on work. When you are building something new and important to you, it’s easy to forget about your own body and mind.

Joining Pearl Lemon Group, a UK-based company, at age 16, brought new levels of work and responsibility. I was the youngest on the team, and I wanted to do my very best. I redesigned big websites quickly and took on many projects. I learned a lot, but this also meant intense work periods, often late into the night.

I remember a time when I accidentally crashed the main Pearl Lemon website. I was scared, and while a teammate helped fix it, the stress was real. These high-pressure moments can take a toll on health if not managed well. My mind would race, and it was hard to relax after such an event.

My journey at Pearl Lemon was very rewarding. I became Head of Web Design and then Head of Social Media, leading teams. This meant more responsibility, more meetings (which I admit I’m not great at attending), and even more work. While Pearl Lemon supported me in many ways, even helping with personal loans during house building or my brother’s wedding, the huge workload meant my own fitness and health sometimes took a backseat. I was so busy doing things for others that I didn’t always do enough for myself.

I found it hard to sleep on time, and my health was not always as good as it should be. I had stomach issues, small ear problems, pimples on my chest, and a black mark on my leg. These were clear signs that I needed to pay more attention to my body and well-being. I admit that sometimes I focused on doing many things instead of doing them perfectly, and I didn’t always have fixed hours for my work. This messy workflow also affected my ability to care for myself properly, as I didn’t have a regular time for meals or breaks.

My Skills and Why Fitness and Health Are a Must

My digital skills are wide-ranging. I’ve worked on over 300 graphic design projects, 190 websites, and built over 1,000 small converter plugins. I create AI videos, Chrome extensions, and manage teams. All this requires a clear mind and a lot of energy, which only come from good fitness and health.

My skills include:

  • Web Design and Development: Building websites that look good and work well. This work can be very sedentary, meaning a lot of sitting.
  • Graphic Design: Creating visuals, also often done sitting down for long stretches.
  • Video Editing: Long hours in front of editing software, which strains the eyes and body.
  • 3D Art and Animation: Detailed computer work for many hours, requiring intense focus.
  • AI Research and Creating New Things: Involves a lot of mental effort and screen time.
  • Automation: Setting up systems, again, a computer-heavy task that means little movement.
  • SEO and Marketing: Research and planning, often done at a desk for extended periods.
  • Social Media Management: Constant screen time and digital interaction, making it hard to disconnect.
  • Starting Digital Businesses: Requires immense mental focus and often sacrifices of personal time, like sleep or exercise.

While these skills are powerful and allow me to build great things, I recognize that my body needs movement, good food, and rest. My personal rating for “Self-Caring in Sense of Lookiness” is 6 out of 10. I am skinny, I have a little broken nose, my eyes are not always clear, and my hair isn’t great. My skin needs care, and my beard and mustache are always messy. For “Health,” I rated myself 7 out of 10. This points to ongoing stomach issues, not getting proper sleep, an ear problem, pimples on my chest, and a black mark on my leg. These are real things I need to work on to be truly fit and healthy.

Moving Forward: Making Fitness and Health a Priority

Looking ahead, my journey continues. I am always learning new things, like how SEO, lead generation, and game development work. I am always working on something bigger, including my own custom software and future startups. I want to manage over 1000 websites with a small team and a small budget. I have also made tools and ways to publish content more easily and at a lower cost.

However, as I plan for more growth, I also understand the strong need for better fitness and health. My experiences have taught me that to sustain long-term work, stay creative, and continue to build, taking care of my physical and mental well-being is not just an option, but a must. I need to make sure I get proper sleep, eat well, and address my health concerns. It’s a real challenge to balance the demands of a fast-paced digital career with personal care, but it’s a challenge I am now much more aware of and ready to take on. My journey is not just about digital growth, but also about becoming a healthier, more balanced person.
